Job summary

Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust in Middlesbrough is seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist to lead inpatient OT services for the Learning Disability unit. You will manage a highly complex caseload, provide evidence-based assessments and supervise a supporting OT Assistant, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role focuses on person-centred care, recovery, and wellbeing, with opportunities for professional development and service

Qualifications

• HCPC registered occupational therapist with pre-registration qualification.
• Evidence of post-registration Masters level learning.
• Experience in quality improvement activities and service development.
• Experience in clinical governance including audits.
• Experience in research and service evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and strengthen the occupational therapy offer at Bankfields Court.
• Develop an effective in-reach model and strengthen relationships with community occupational therapy services.
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
• Lead and supervise the Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Contribute to wider OT service developments.
