An established healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist specializing in Hand Therapy. This full-time role involves assessing and treating patients post-surgery and those with arthritic conditions. We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist with experience and skills working in Hand Therapy to join our friendly team. You will have the ability to work autonomously assessing, reviewing and treating patients following elective or traumatic post-op hand surgery and patients with arthritic conditions. The post is full time (37.5 hours) and will be based at Leighton Hospital, Crewe and Northwich Infirmary. You will have an understanding of assessing and treating patients following fractures, soft tissue injuries and repetitive strain injuries and a range of orthopaedic and arthritic conditions. You will be able to liaise closely with the Hand Therapy MDT consisting of physiotherapy, fracture clinic, orthopaedic clinic and the consultants as required. Good triaging and prioritising skills are required to ensure that patients are seen in priority order. Knowledge of wound care management and removal of sutures is beneficial in this role. There are regular in-service training and specialist interest groups that you will have access to along side regular supervision and appraisals.
