An exciting opportunity has arisen to join The North London Foundation Trust in our multidisciplinary Home Treatment Team (HTT) for Services for Ageing and Mental Health (SAMH).
The SAMH HTT works intensively with people with dementia and people over the age of 65 with an acute metal illnesses and age related frailty who present in mental health crisis. The team holds a shared caseload and covers the Borough's of Camden and Islington.
The service is looking for a Band 6 Clinical Specialist Nurse who is passionate about working with older people and those who have dementia presenting in a mental health crisis. The SAMH HTT is a fast paced service that operates over 7 days of the week (M-F 08:00 - 19:00, S/S & B/H 08:00 - 16:00).
The service has an intense interface with psychiatric liaison services and inpatient services, providing gatekeeping assessments authorising admissions as well as facilitating early discharges making this an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse who wants to work in a well-established team and influence how care is delivered for this client group.
The post holder will work as an independent practitioner but within a supportive team to deliver care that enables service users to remain in their own homes during a period of mental ill health.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington.
