Qualifications

  • Relevant post Graduate experience with a PGCert in Mammography/Breast Imaging.
  • In depth knowledge of processes and procedures in Mammography.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control functions related to mammography.
  • Undertake administrative duties such as bookings and reporting.
  • Assist with ultrasounds including procedures such as biopsies.

London, The Lister Hospital, 272 Kings Road

Full time - 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: 7.5 hour shifts between 08:00 and 19:00
Permanent/Full Time
Salary: Up to £54,500 depending on experience.

The Lister Hospital in Chelsea has a longstanding reputation for excellent care, with a recent 'Outstanding' rating by the CQC. We offer advanced treatments and have specialized units including fertility, gastroenterology, and orthopedics. Our facilities include a 60-bed hospital, a 6-bed critical care unit, and outpatient centers in Chelsea, Battersea, and Chiswick.

Our Breast Unit provides comprehensive breast exams, including one-stop and triple assessment clinics, and self-referral mammography screening.

As a Clinical Specialist Mammographer, you will join our dedicated Breast Unit team, performing all mammography procedures such as 2D and 3D imaging, screening, and interventional procedures. You may also rotate into other modalities like Plain Film, MRI, or CT to maintain your skills and support coverage needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing quality control in mammography
  • Managing administrative tasks like bookings and reporting
  • Using PACS and DR/CR systems
  • Participating in symptomatic breast clinics
  • Carrying out screening mammograms
  • Assisting with ultrasounds and procedures such as biopsies and aspirations
  • Performing stereotactic biopsies with radiologists
  • Participating in evening clinics
  • Rotating to other sites like Chiswick Medical Centre

What you’ll bring:

  • HCPC registration
  • Postgraduate qualification with PGCert in Mammography/Breast Imaging
  • Experience in UK Mammography
  • Knowledge of mammography processes and procedures
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
