Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Clinical Skills Tutor to deliver teaching and assessment in clinical examination and communication skills to undergraduate medical students. The post holder will coordinate early clinical environment visits for Year 1 and 2 students and organise timetables for clinics, theatres and ward placements.

Collaborating with the Undergraduate Medical Education Department in the ERC, you will support high-quality teaching and ensure

Qualifications

First Degree in nursing/healthcare or equivalent portfolio of evidence.
Current professional registration.
Experience of and proficiency in appropriate clinical skills and examination.
5 years post registration experience.
Experience of teaching in a healthcare setting.
Evidence of involvement in teaching and mentoring learners.

Responsibilities

Coordinate early clinical environment visits for Year 1 and Year 2 medical students.
Organise student timetables for clinics, theatres and ward placements.
Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across multiple disciplines.
Work closely with the Undergraduate Medical Education Department in the ERC.
Support teaching and assessment in clinical examination and communication skills.
Assist with new learning opportunities and resources integration.
