Job description

The Wales Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme was implemented on 1st May 2013 and aims to halve the AAA related mortality in the eligible population by 2025, that is, 65-year-old men living in Wales.

All Wales Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme screening staff performing abdominal aortic scans are required to successfully complete the approved training course prior to screening independently within the screening programme.

The purpose of this role is to support, oversee the supervision and quality assurance processes for the AAA screeners in accordance with Wales Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme polices. The post holder will provide clinical skills training and supervision to new members of staff who will be undertaking the abdominal aortic screening. The successful candidate will cover training in the north west of Wales.
