Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust seeks a dynamic Clinical Site Practitioner to join the Response team. The role involves managing quality and standards of care, providing advanced clinical services, and leading nursing staff across the Trust. This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in paediatric nursing, particularly in critical care settings.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Response team on secondment here at Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
The Response team consists of Senior Clinical Site Practitioners and Clinical Site Practitioners and is integral to providing safe, high-quality care to all patients and families.
Our site practitioners are actively involved in all areas of the Trust, working closely with nursing, medical, and managerial staff. They act as role models and utilize their extensive experience to address clinical and non-clinical issues.
Are you dynamic, proactive, and enthusiastic about paediatric nursing? Have you gained experience working within a fast-paced critical care or Emergency Department?
The post holder will manage nursing, quality, and standards of care, safety, patient involvement, safeguarding, and infection control in designated clinical areas and services, both in and out of hours (24/7).
They will provide advanced clinical care through health assessments, initiation and alteration of treatments, and monitoring of care pathways for children and young people within an agreed scope of practice, working alongside medical teams.
The role requires demonstrating effective, visible, and authoritative leadership across the Trust, acting as the responsible person for patient and staff experience and standards out of hours, in collaboration with Divisional Matrons, Heads of Nursing, and Associate Chief Nurses.
The post involves managing complaints and acting on investigation findings to prevent recurrence as needed.
The post holder will contribute to the Trust-wide Nursing, Quality, Education & Research strategy on behalf of the SCSP team.
They must act in accordance with The Code of Professional Standards of Practice & Behaviour for Nurses and Midwives (NMC 2015).
