Job summary

Circle Health Group's Kings Park Hospital in Stirling is seeking a Clinical Services Manager – Theatre to lead the perioperative team and drive patient-focused care across anaesthetics, surgery and recovery. The role requires strong leadership, planning and governance skills in a busy private/NHS setting.

You will oversee staffing, scheduling, budgeting and clinical development, ensuring safety and high standards while fostering a collaborative culture with consultants and multifaceted theatre

Qualifications

  • NMC or HCPC registered practitioner with perioperative leadership experience.
  • Strong background in anaesthetics, scrub, or recovery within theatre settings.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and develop others.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with knowledge of labour management and workforce efficiency tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making abilities.
  • Experience managing theatre services within private healthcare or NHS environments.
  • Understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and business development in a clinical setting.
  • Experience with theatre scheduling software and electronic patient record systems.
  • Evidence of continued professional development in leadership, quality improvement, or advanced perioperative care.

Job description

Kings Park Hospital in Stirling is part of Circle Health Group, Britain’s leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwidenetwork of hospitals & clinics,performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Services Manager – Theatre to join their team of staff in the Theatres department.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:
  • Lead the theatre team in delivering outstanding patient care across all perioperative stages, including anaesthetics, surgery, and recovery.
  • Foster a culture of compassion and respect through effective team engagement, communication, and support.
  • Support clinical development and maintain personal competence through continuous professional development and reflection.
  • Ensure patient safety is prioritised at all times, acting as an advocate and speaking up on any concerns regarding care or safeguarding.
  • Drive clinical standards through implementation of evidence-based practice, clinical audits, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Lead by example in maintaining infection control, documentation standards, and compliance with governance frameworks.
  • Ensure efficient delivery of theatre services through effective resource planning, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing multidisciplinary theatre team.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with consultants, anaesthetists, and other key stakeholders to support seamless service delivery.
