Job description

Role:Clinical Deputy Manager

Location: Halesowen, West Midlands

Salary:£41,864.31 per annum

Hours: 37.5 per week (100% supernumerary)
Occasional nursing shift cover may be required in emergencies.

An experienced Clinical Deputy Manager is required to support the leadership of a 24-bed care service near Halesowen town centre. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will guide a dedicated team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care focused on wellbeing, dignity, and compassion.

This is a pivotal leadership position involving collaboration with local healthcare professionals and the wider community to ensure clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager in daily operational leadership
  • Supervise and lead the nursing team to maintain exceptional care standards
  • Oversee infection prevention and control measures and audits
  • Act as a clinical role model, promoting best practice in care delivery
  • Manage performance, provide supervision, and support staff development
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives
  • Liaise with external professionals to coordinate admissions, discharges, and resident wellbeing
  • Step into the Registered Manager’s role when required

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Nurse with active NMC registration (essential)
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or Senior Nurse
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Experience in elderly care and person-centred care planning
  • Comfortable working within a multi-disciplinary team
