Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a prosthetic clinical service manager to join our existing team at Portsmouth.

Leadership and day-to-day management of the Portsmouth Prosthetic Service to deliver a high-quality and appropriate Prosthetic service that improves patients' lives, works in partnership with the NHS, and promotes the core values of Steeper.

Your Responsibilities
  • Overall management and governance of patient services to deliver safe and effective care in a cost-effective, timely manner.
  • Work in partnership with local teams and NHS commissioners, representing the company at meetings and providing information and reporting as required.
  • Collaborate with the orthotic management team to ensure the smooth operation of orthotic services alongside the prosthetic service.
  • Manage the service budget to ensure sustainability.
  • Personnel management, including staff development and training.
  • Oversee production with the workshop manager to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage stores and stock levels, ensuring suitable stock is maintained within targets.
  • Handle administrative duties, including employee attendance records and statistical reporting, ensuring compliance with the company quality management system.
  • Ensure premises and facilities are safe, operational, and fit for purpose.
  • Maintain adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Due to the nature of this role, working beyond contracted hours and at weekends may be necessary to meet deadlines. This is a senior position and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Training and peer support are provided through regular team meetings and individual support from your manager. Attendance at industry and company events may be required.

What We're Looking For
  • Significant clinical experience
  • Management experience, preferably with Steeper management training or similar
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel for reporting and feedback
  • Understanding of financial planning and budgeting, with support from management accountants
