Clinical Service Lead Healthy Child Programme 0-19 (25 SEND)

We are looking for a compassionate leader who will motivate and inspire our workforce in this final phase of transformation for health visiting and school nursing services. You will be responsible for integrated health visiting and nursing teams, locality-based and subject lead for school-age children.

This post is key to the delivery of Integrated Children's Health Services within the Surgery, Women & Children's Directorate, working closely with the Divisional Nurse & AHP Director, Children and Young People. You will work with a range of internal stakeholders, including our Named Nurses Safeguarding & Cared for Children, pathway leads, and Pediatric Matron, to provide leadership and management and integration of children's universal services.

The post holder will be required to develop, maintain and manage effective relationships with a range of stakeholders internally and externally, across all disciplines, including service users and carers. The post holder will need to be visible to front-line staff.

The department is key to the wider inter-agency system for children and families and is fundamental to improving the health outcomes for all children in the borough.

Main duties of the job

o To ensure locality services are delivered in a highly professional and clinically safe manner, in conjunction with the business support team and in accordance with local and national policies and procedures, including compliance with Care Quality Commission standards.

o To provide management and leadership to staff within areas of responsibility, ensuring implementation of and compliance with policies and procedures.

o To take responsibility for ensuring effective capacity and demand management across service areas, in order to meet agreed activity levels, in line with the wider children's services performance plan.

o To be responsible for ensuring outcome measures are developed and implemented within areas of service responsibility.

o To be responsible for the delegated budget and resource management in line with standing financial instructions

o Embed the requirements of the SEND agenda within all teams.

o Embed the requirement of the HCP agenda within all teams.

o Develop & maintain good working relationships with neighbourhood colleagues.
