We are seeking top talent to join the UK’s leading and fastest growing pathology organization—an entity with a clear clinical purpose, working in partnership with Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, King’s College Hospital, and Princess Royal University Hospital. Our goal is to set the standard for future pathology services.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated Clinical Scientist joining our Genetics Service at Synnovis Genomics laboratory, part of the South East Genomic Laboratory Hub (SEGLH) at Guy’s Hospital. The role involves working across Prenatal and Reproductive Genetics and Developmental Disorders teams, providing genetic testing such as QF-PCR, G-banded chromosome analysis, and SNP array.
Applicants should have experience in analysis, interpretation, and reporting of genetic diagnostic results, with good communication skills, initiative, and organizational abilities. Applications from soon-to-be HCPC-registered Clinical Scientists in Genetics are encouraged. Flexible and remote working options are supported.
SEGLH is a network of pathology hubs across South London, Kent, Surrey, and Sussex, led by Synnovis Genomics at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, in partnership with SYNLAB UK & Ireland and NHS trusts.

We are modernizing our pathology services with a new state-of-the-art hub laboratory in Blackfriars, Southwark, starting April 2024. The role initially based at hospital sites will transition to the new hub, focusing on rapid urgent tests.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in cytogenomics, registered with HCPC, and proficient in analysis, interpretation, and reporting in areas such as variant interpretation, karyotyping, FISH, microarray, and WGS CNV. Responsibilities include service and report management, quality assurance, and team support.
