This role offers an exciting career development opportunity for individuals at B7 aiming to progress into a more clinical specialist role while enhancing their operational and strategic leadership skills, or for existing B8a staff wishing to broaden their portfolio. We seek a candidate eager to lead high-quality care within a diverse community and workforce.

The successful candidate will demonstrate proven clinical leadership skills across medical and surgical specialties, including critical care in acute settings, with compassionate and inclusive leadership qualities. Additionally, they will have educational experience, a track record of implementing change, and a drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Leading the delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of safe, effective, and efficient care across medical, surgical, and critical care units.
  2. Collaborating with respiratory clinical leads to evolve respiratory physiotherapy services to meet regional and national priorities.
  3. Managing the occupational therapy team within medical and surgical wards, supporting operational and clinical development.
  4. Partnering with senior clinicians and ward managers to influence new models of care.
  5. Innovating in respiratory physiotherapy service delivery across teams.
  6. Providing expert physiotherapy in respiratory practice with professional autonomy and scope of practice.
  7. Leading quality improvement and research initiatives in clinical practice and service areas.
