Job Description:

The research programme, led by Professor [Name], is based at Hammersmith Hospital Campus, Imperial College London. It focuses on interventional and observational studies in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, mild cognitive impairment, vascular dementia, and other causes of dementia and cognitive impairment. The programme emphasizes basic and translational imaging using PET and MRI in early phase studies, evaluating novel therapeutic targets in dementia, and leading international studies. It also investigates novel microglial agents in mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease, utilizing state-of-the-art techniques in PET and MRI for clinical and diagnostic evaluations.

You will facilitate research activities at the Memory Research Centre, assist with data collection, administer questionnaires to research participants, and maintain accurate records of study data. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and have opportunities to develop skills in neuropsychometric testing, programming, MRI brain image analysis, and manuscript preparation.

Applicants should have a BSc or MSc in Psychology, Neuroscience, Pharmacology, or an equivalent degree or experience. Excellent communication skills are required to interact effectively with patients, families, research, and clinical teams. A background in neuropsychological assessments is preferred. There will be opportunities to develop additional skills in neuropsychometric testing, programming, MRI analysis, and manuscript writing if interested.
