Job summary

Quotient Sciences is seeking a Clinical Research Technician in the UK to support volunteers through clinical trials. No prior clinical experience is required as comprehensive training is provided.

The role is full-time with 24/7 shift rotation, including days, nights, and weekends, in a welcoming, patient-focused environment. You will collect data and perform clinical procedures under supervision, ensuring high standards of care and accurate records.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Confident communicators with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, healthcare support, leisure, or similar people-facing roles.
  • Ability to follow procedures and work accurately in a regulated environment.
  • Good IT skills and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic, reliable and keen to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and accurately record high quality study data following clear procedures.
  • Carry out clinical procedures such as blood pressure, pulse and temperature checks.
  • Take blood samples via venepuncture (fully trained).
  • Collect and process biological samples in line with study protocols.
  • Complete quality checks on electronic and paper records.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Deliver a high standard of care and customer service to volunteers.

The Role

In thishands-on,people focusedrole,you’llhelp create asafe, welcoming, and professional environmentfor our volunteers throughout their clinical trial experience.

Youdo not need anypreviousclinical experiencewe provide acomprehensive training programme, delivered by our dedicated inhouse training team.

Key Responsibilities:

You’ll be trained to:

  • Collect and accurately recordhigh qualitystudy data, following clear procedures

  • Always deliver a high standard of care and customer service to our volunteers

Immediate Life Support (ILS) training provided

This is afull-time role with 24/7 shift rotation. Flexibility isrequiredto work the following:

  • Days, nights, and weekends
  • A mixture of early, late, and night shifts (rota based)
Learning opportunities:

This role offersexcellentlong-termcareer opportunities, including training and progression into:

  • Shift Lead and Ward Lead roles
  • IV cannulation
  • Clinical study setup and documentation
  • Dosing and accountability of study drugs
  • Deputy Clinical Lead and Clinical Lead positions

Skills and experience required:
