Job description

The post-holder will support the work of KMPT's Research & Innovation Department's Clinical Research Delivery Team and gain clinical and administrative experience in research. This includes duties related to various National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Portfolio research studies across different sites within the trust.

KMPT's Research & Innovation Department is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their Clinical Research Delivery Team. The role involves assisting with the Mental Health & Dementia and Neurodegenerative Disorders research portfolio, recruiting participants for clinical studies, and promoting research among clinicians, service users, and the wider NHS.

The post-holder must hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for business purposes, unless exempt due to a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010.

The primary purpose of this role is to support project management and oversee research activities within KMPT, specifically managing NIHR Portfolio studies such as the ADAPT (Alzheimers Disease Diagnosis and Plasma p-Tau217) study. Responsibilities include identifying, recruiting, and assisting study teams and clinicians.

The post involves managing, coordinating, and facilitating research in Mental Health and Dementia. Tasks include clinic/patient-based activities, phlebotomy, blood sample centrifuging, document management, project tracking, data collection and reporting, ensuring adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Research Governance, and contributing to the improvement of research participant care and data quality.
