Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Research Nurse to join the R&D team on a 37.5-hour maternity cover contract. The post may be Band 5-6 depending on experience, with responsibilities across gastroenterology and stroke studies.

The successful candidate will coordinate multiple trials, ensure GCP compliance, and contribute to education and supervision of staff within HHFT’s supportive research environment.

Qualifications

• Provide research nursing input into clinical research studies.
• Coordinate a group of patients enrolled in research studies.
• Support and maintain a framework to lead, deliver and support clinical supervision, mentorship and education for staff and students.
• Work according to GCP and research governance standards for clinical trials.
• Adhere to professional standards (NMC/HPC) and Trust policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver nursing care within research studies.
• Recruitment, education and monitoring of trial participants.
• Ensure accurate data collection and documentation for trials.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across HHFT sites.
