Go back Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
The closing date is 06 August 2025
Having opened a new Clinical Research Unit (CRU) and taken ownership of a Mobile Research Unit (MRU) we are looking for an enthusiastic Research Nurse/s with experience of being involved in the delivery and promotion of clinical research studies to help drive a program of engagement and user/public involvement to raise the profile and understanding about research across our organisation and local community.
Increased promotion of research out in the populations we serve, will help satisfy one of the key strategic aims of the NIHR and RRDN, addressing some of the inequalities identified in terms of limitations of access and opportunity to benefit from participation in research.
The role will entail reaching out to areas of society that are not currently engaged with research e.g. local schools, colleges and the University and you will scope out the opportunities and initiate and foster good working relationships with key stakeholders and partnering organisations.
Informal discussions are encouraged in order for applicants to best understand the expectations of the role.
Ability to drive the MRU is not an absolute requirement of the role.
You will develop and deliver training packages around clinical research which will enable others to better understand what research is, why it's important and how they can get involved. You will promote the NIHR's 'Be Part of Research' campaign and maximise the opportunities for individuals to register online.
You will plan, risk assess, organise and attend engagement and training events across Chester and Cheshire West region.
You will seek to identify appropriate research studies that can be run from within the MRU and take responsibility for leading and delivering those studies on board.
You will determine the suitability of the MRU for various purposes (including non research activity).
You will maintain accurate records and collect feedback and evidence to demonstrate the impact of the role.
