About the role
We are seeking a Clinical Research Fellow to join the RLW BRAIN programme, which aims to generate detailed datasets of clinical, neuropathological, biomarker, and tissue omics data, as well as spatial transcriptomic data.
The successful candidate will review and extract relevant information from clinical records and integrate this with neuropathology, imaging, and omics data to support research initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated clinician to gain research experience and develop academic credentials leading toward a PhD.
The position involves contributing to a large multicentre research project, assisting with day-to-day coordination, and ensuring effective communication within the team.
The post is available from 01 July and funded by the Reta Lila Weston Trust until 29 February initially.

About you
You should have a Medical degree with clinical experience in neurology, neuropathology, or neurodegenerative disease research, along with a background in clinical and/or basic research. Knowledge of multi-omics data integration and the ability to interpret complex data critically are essential.
This role qualifies for a skilled worker certificate of sponsorship or a global talent visa under UK legislation. Applications from international applicants requiring a visa are welcome.
What we offer
The salary range is £48,000 to £75,000 per annum, including London Allowance, depending on NHS contract and clinical training stage.
