Job overview

This one-year Clinical Fellowship in Medical Oncology focuses on clinical and translational research in Gynaecology cancers. Main duties of the job

Main Duties of the Job:

  • Conduct clinical and translational research focused on Gynaecology cancers, contributing to ongoing projects within the Gynaecology unit.
  • Collaborate with ICR laboratories and clinician scientists to enhance research output and academic connections.
  • Participate in clinical trials, data collection, and analysis, ensuring high standards of research methodology.
  • Contribute to the development and publication of research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Present research outcomes at national and international conferences.
  • Work closely with the research team, including trial coordinators, data managers, and research nurses, to ensure smooth execution of projects.
  • Engage in regular training and professional development through ICR's research skills programs and mentorship opportunities.
  • Support the recruitment and management of patients in clinical research studies.
  • Contribute to the overall development of clinical research within the Gynaecology unit and the wider oncology community.
  • Maintain compliance with ethical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and best practice standards in all aspects of clinical research

Occurring mainly in winter, it is an infectious respiratory disease capable of producing symptoms ranging from those similar to a common cold, through to very severe or even fatal disease.

The wellbeing of our staff and patients is of the upmost importance to us, and it is the expectation of The Royal Marsden that all patient-facing staff have an annual flu vaccination, provided free of charge by the Trust.
