A leading healthcare provider in Basingstoke is looking for a Doctor to join their Medicine division. The successful candidate will be involved in clinical responsibilities and research, contributing to national clinical trials in gastroenterology and hepatology while maintaining patient-centered care. This full-time position offers comprehensive training and the opportunity to publish research findings.
Job summary
Working within a team of specialist Consultants and junior doctors in training, the post holder will be expected to initiate and provide sound clinical/medical practices to patients admitted to the Medicine division, whilst supporting patients' family and friends demonstrating the patient is the central focus of care.
The focus of the job is in research. The postholder will be expected to take part in National clinical trials in gastroenterology and hepatology. They will also pursue their "own account" research with Professor Ramageand will receive training in research methods involving use of data, statistical methods, writing abstracts and papers. The person will be expected to compete at least one paper during their year at HHFT and attend some national meetings. They will also have some clinical training relevant to their level.
