An internationally recognized team is seeking a Clinical Research Associate to engage in groundbreaking research on automated insulin delivery systems for adults with diabetes. This role offers the chance to work at the forefront of clinical and translational research, providing valuable clinical care and support to study participants. We are seeking a Clinical Research Associate wishing to pursue research in the area of automated insulin delivery (closed loop systems) in adults with diabetes. The research is funded by the National Institute for Health Research and other funding agencies. Possession of a GMC licence to practise is essential.
The post would suit a doctor in training at UK / IMT level or above (or equivalent), wishing to gain experience in clinical and translational research. Postgraduate training in adult endocrinology / diabetes would be desirable but not essential.
Previous experience of clinical research methodology, preferably in diabetes and metabolism, is desirable. Clinical expertise in the use of insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring is also preferred.
The successful applicant will join an internationally recognized team based in the Institute of Metabolic Science on the Addenbrooke's Hospital campus, Cambridge.
There will be opportunities to pursue individual research projects and to present results at international scientific conferences. Regular contact with other researchers in this field will be encouraged.
Fixed-term: 12 months initially. Successful candidates will undergo health assessments, a DBS check, and a Research Passport application.
