Job summary

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester is seeking a contracts specialist to support clinical research by negotiating and preparing agreements. You will protect the trust's interests while enabling efficient research collaborations.

You will advise researchers on contracting requirements for clinical trials and other studies, covering funding, data protection, tissue handling and intellectual property. Training and NHS secondment opportunities may be available.

• Strong contract negotiation and preparation skills.
• Training will be provided if required.
• Flexible working arrangements and potential NHS secondments may be available.

Responsibilities

• Advise research colleagues on contracting arrangements for clinical trials and other research projects.
• Provide guidance on contracts covering funding receipt/payments, human tissue management, data protection and IP.
• Coordinate with charitable and commercial funders, NHS organisations and universities to secure agreements.
• Stay current with advances in technology, including AI, and assess contract opportunities and risks.
