Job Overview

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Research Assistant to join our Reproductive Health and Childbirth research team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop clinical research skills and contribute to important studies at Barts Health NHS Trust. The position is based at The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, with weekly responsibilities at Whipps Cross and Newham Hospitals.

Main Responsibilities

1. Identify potential study participants and assist in recruitment.
2. Provide study-specific training and support to staff and participants.
3. Contribute to the development and implementation of research projects.
4. Assist in managing and maintaining study documentation and data.
5. Ensure compliance with research governance and ethical standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Current certificate in ICH-GCP.
• Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.
• Recent experience dealing with the public.
• Desirable: experience in research, healthcare, or using electronic case report forms.

Knowledge and Skills

• Understanding of research governance, NHS processes, and data protection.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
