Overview: The Clinical Research Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Clinical Research Coordinators with the clinical trials; including the following activities: screening, enrolling, patient follow-up and study-related data entry. Will ensure protocol compliance by closely monitoring and documenting study subjects while on study. In addition, will assist with data and source documentation, adverse event reporting, and maintenance of regulatory/study binders. May also participate in writing, presenting and publishing results of studies in collaboration with physician investigator and clinical research coordinator; and may be trained to perform delegable tasks such as phlebotomy, 12-lead ElectrocardioGrams (EKGs), and patient vitals.
Anticipated Schedule:Monday - Friday, day-time business hours. Start/end time varies depending on patient need. This position is an on-site position with a primary location at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
