Job summary

SPD Development Company Ltd is seeking a Clinical Research Administrator in Bedford on a 12-month fixed-term contract starting January 2027. You will support and monitor clinical studies, manage supplies, recruit volunteers and help ensure GCP compliance within the programme.

The role requires strong communication, meticulous attention to detail and experience with Microsoft 365. A Biomedical Science degree is preferred and familiarity with clinical studies is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent attention to detail and highly organised.
• Experience with telephone work is desirable.
• Strong numerical and data entry accuracy.
• Familiarity with clinical study documentation and regulatory basics.

Responsibilities

• Set-up activities, including sourcing study supplies, packaging and shipment of supplies.
• Tracking study status and reporting progress to study conduct meetings.
• Volunteer recruitment, printing, collation, packing and payment responsibilities.
• Administering and recording volunteer payments for studies.
• Maintaining inspection-ready documentation and supporting study team meetings.
