Job description

Clinical Referrals Manager - Neurorehabilitation | Leading Specialist Care Provider

Hybrid Role | Remote-Based with Regional Travel Across South & Central London and Kent

£55,000 + Share in Group Bonus Scheme | Full-Time | Permanent

Specialisms: Non-Invasive Ventilation & Tracheostomy Care

Ideal Base: South London or surrounding areas

Your Next Career Move in Complex Clinical Care

Compass Associates is proud to partner with a nationally renowned provider of specialist neurorehabilitation services. This innovative organisation delivers expert care across a network of centres focused on supporting adults with complex needs, including those requiring non-invasive ventilation and tracheostomy care.

We're now inviting applications from passionate, NMC-registered nurses for an exciting, non-bedside opportunity as Clinical Referrals Manager - a pivotal role bridging clinical excellence with patient advocacy and service development.

Why This Role?

  • Step Away from Shift Work: Embrace a Monday-Friday schedule (9am-5pm) with the flexibility of hybrid working.
  • Influence Lives Before Admission: Be the face of first impressions - assess, guide, and support new service users and their families through the referral journey.
  • Utilise Your Clinical Knowledge in a New Way: Combine your bedside experience with a strategic role that impacts service growth and quality of care.
  • Travel with Purpose: Work remotely while travelling regionally to leading NHS Trusts (e.g., Kings College London, UCLH) and within your network of care centres.

The Role: Making a Difference, Every Step of the Way

As Clinical Referrals Manager, you'll be the trusted clinical lead for assessing new referrals, ensuring each potential service user is appropriately evaluated and matched with the right level of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across hospital, community, and home settings.
  • Act as the central point of contact for families navigating the transition to specialist care - offering support, service tours, and answering clinical and care-related queries.
  • Collaborate with ICBs, Commissioners, and Local Authorities to coordinate placements, negotiate fees, and advocate for patients' best outcomes.
  • Promote the service to referrers and professionals to help grow occupancy and expand the organisation's clinical reach.

About You

You're a compassionate, clinically skilled nurse ready to move beyond traditional shift patterns into a dynamic, people-facing role. You understand both patient needs and the broader commissioning landscape, and you're motivated by service quality and patient outcomes.

Essential Criteria:

  • Active NMC registration (RGN, RMN, or RNLD).
  • Clinical experience in assessment-led environments (ICU, HDU, neurorehabilitation, complex care, or similar).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - with families and professionals alike.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence working with ICBs, funders, or local authorities.
  • UK driving licence with access to a personal vehicle.
  • Located within or near South London or willing to commute regionally.

Please note: This role does not offer visa sponsorship.

Package & Perks

Salary: Circa £55,000 DOE, with flexibility for exceptional candidates

Bonus: Share in Group EBITDA-linked bonus

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Hybrid Working: Remote-based with regional travel

Benefits Include:

  • 30 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
  • 4% employer pension contribution
  • Company laptop and phone
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • Complimentary meals when onsite at care centres
  • Supportive, collaborative, and progressive company culture
