Job summary

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for an enthusiastic assistant psychologist to join the Calderdale Core Team, delivering secondary care psychology services to working-age adults in Calderdale.

The role supports psychologists in group therapy delivery and some individual work, while promoting trauma-informed practice within a collaborative adult mental health service.

Qualifications

• A psychology degree (2.1 minimum) or a masters degree in psychology.
• Eligible for graduate basis for Chartered membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society.
• Experience with mental health difficulties, learning difficulties or psychological/behavioural problems is essential.
• Knowledge of psychopathology and ability/experience in interviewing clients.
• Knowledge of research methodology, computer literacy, data analysis and strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Support psychological professionals in delivering direct psychological therapy (group work) and some 1-1 work.
• Assist with implementing trauma-informed practice across the Core team.
