Clinical Psychology Doctoral Programme

Job description

Are you completing your Clinical Psychology Doctoral Programme this summer? Perhaps you’re qualified Clinical Psychologist and looking for a change – come and establish your career with us at Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust…

We’re looking for compassionate, motivated Clinical Psychologists to join our teams across Norfolk and Suffolk. We have opportunities in a variety of our services so we’d love to hear from you to discuss what a career with our Trust will look like…

There are endless opportunities available, and we are keen to welcome new faces to join our teams; we can offer both full and part time hours and understand everyone has commitments outside of work, so welcome conversations around flexible working options too.

Please open the attached applicant letter and opportunities available docs for an overview of the services with opportunities available!

NSFT services are in the process of innovative transformation. This has created opportunities to not only recognise and consolidate what we are doing well, but also to drive creativity and innovation in radically changing service delivery models. These are both challenging and exciting times. As such, this provides many opportunities for successful applicants to play a key role in bringing about positive change and making a difference, not only at an individual, family or team level, but in shaping the future direction of our services

When you join us, you can expect a thorough induction and enrolment onto a preceptorship programme (if applicable).

There are many opportunities for clinical professional development, peer support, and networking with colleagues. We have active groups of senior psychologists and psychological therapists, who meet regularly, providing a supportive network. There are varied opportunities for research, teaching, training, and service development; we are particularly keen to embed research into clinical practice and will support successful applicants to pursue research activities as well as special clinical interests.

There is a strong CPD culture and we will support you to develop psychological therapy skills in EMDR, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Mentalization Based Therapies, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

We welcome candidates to come and have informal discussion with our clinical leaders, to determine what opportunities that will suit you and what a career with us could look like…

Here at NSFT we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, talented, friendly and supportive team who like nothing better than sharing experiences and learning from each other. In addition to ongoing training and development opportunities, we are committed to providing an environment in which you can thrive.

Why work for us? We have challenges as a Trust, but we have ambitious aspirations, are pushing ahead with exciting transformation work and we need dedicated individuals to support us on our journey. We have strong, established nursing networks coupled with an exceptional leadership team who will ensure you are truly cared for and cared about.

Why Norfolk and Suffolk? The people here are warm and welcoming, you’ll never be far from the beautiful coastline or Broads National Park. We’re an hour and a half away from London and have an international airport in Norwich too. Our villages, towns and cities are packed full of history, independent cafes, shops and theatres. We have excellent shopping, eating out, top ranking schooling and affordable house prices too.
