Clinical Psychologist - Housing First

We are looking for an enthusiastic newly qualified psychologist with a passion for working with people experiencing homelessness. Applications from soon-to-qualify and newly qualified psychologists are welcome.

You will be part of Liverpool University Hospitals Clinical Health Psychology Service, based at Aintree Hospital, within a supportive and welcoming team.

Liverpool offers a vibrant cultural scene, beautiful architecture, open spaces, good schools, and a lower cost of living.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing direct and indirect psychological support to facilitate Housing First initiatives across Liverpool City Region.
  2. Applying psychological theories and models to analyze complex situations and develop tailored treatment plans, with regular clinical supervision.
  3. Managing complex clinical cases involving co-morbid physical and psychological health issues.
  4. Communicating complex, sensitive information effectively to patients, families, and colleagues, often in emotionally charged situations.
  5. Offering expert advice on psychological care to multidisciplinary teams, including motivating patients and managing workload and supervision of trainees and assistants.
  6. Utilizing neuropsychological and psychometric assessment tools, interpreting results, and considering multifaceted issues such as ongoing treatments and physical health.
