Job Description:

Main duties of the job:

  1. Advice and consultation on client’s psychological care to non-psychology colleagues and non-professional carers.
  2. Specialist psychological assessment, formulation and delivery of evidence-based psychological treatment.
  3. Governance of psychological practice within the service.
  4. Clinical supervision and support of psychological and behavioural assessment interventions provided by assistants and other team members who provide psychologically based care and treatment.
  5. Training to staff groups across all sectors of care.
  6. Use of research skills for audit, policy and service development and research.
  7. Contributing psychological expertise to assist service development and policy change within the area served by the post.
