Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Harrow is recruiting a Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist to deliver assessments and therapy for adults with complex mental health needs. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing psychological care, consulting with families and agencies, and contributing to service development.

The role requires expertise in complex therapies (schema-focused, CAT, DBT) and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified Psychologist with experience in adult mental health.
• Experience in multidisciplinary settings and collaboration with staff.
• Knowledge of mental health legislation and risk management.
• Training in complex therapies such as schema-focused, CAT and DBT.

Responsibilities

• Carry out psychological assessments and provide therapy to individuals and groups.
• Work systemically with staff and directly with service users.
• Consult with staff, families and agencies about psychological care.
• Offer psychological insight to the multidisciplinary team.
• Support teams in risk assessment and decision making.
• Evaluate the service, contribute to development and research.
