We are seeking a qualified Part time Clinical Psychologist to join the CAMHS Neuropsychiatry Team, providing specialist psychological input for children and young people with complex neurodevelopmental needs. The role includes contributing to neurodevelopmental assessments (including cognitive testing), delivering evidence-based interventions, and working closely with families, carers and professionals across the team. You will also offer consultation, supervision and clinical input across a range of settings.

You should have experience working with neurodevelopmental conditions and associated mental health needs in children and young people, with strong formulation skills and the ability to communicate psychological perspectives effectively.

This is an opportunity to be part of a supportive, skilled team working to improve outcomes for young people and their families.

  • Carry out specialist neurodevelopmental and psychological assessments using a range of tools, including standardised tests, interviews, observations and rating scales, integrating information from multiple sources to inform formulation.
  • Plan and deliver evidence-based psychological treatments tailored to individual needs, using appropriate theoretical frameworks to address complex mental health and neurodevelopmental difficulties.
  • Provide psychological interventions to individuals, families, carers and groups, while continually reviewing and adapting formulations using a range of therapeutic models.
  • Evaluate treatment options and make informed clinical decisions, considering historical, developmental and systemic factors that may impact psychological wellbeing.
  • Take responsibility for the assessment, intervention and discharge planning of clients receiving care under psychologically informed treatment pathways.
