Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary CAMHS team and contribute to an established psychological service. The role involves working with children and young people aged 5 to 18, their families, and utilizing various intervention methods. Opportunities include service evaluation, development, project involvement, and professional growth through training and supervision.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support services for children with mental health difficulties or neurodivergencies, working as part of the CAMHS team to meet Pennine Care's strategic objectives. Managed by a senior Clinical Psychologist or Operational Manager, responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialist psychological assessments of children
  • Formulating and implementing treatment plans
  • Delivering psychological interventions to individuals, families, and groups
  • Deciding on treatment options considering complex factors
  • Contributing to service development and providing psychological advice and research dissemination

Education / Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree or equivalent qualifying as a clinical psychologist
  • Eligibility for BPS Chartered status
  • Current HCPC registration

Additional info

This role is subject to a DBS check. The position is based at Oldham CAMHS, Royal Oldham Hospital, with a salary of £46,148 to £52,809 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). It is a permanent, full-time role with flexible and remote working options.
