East Sussex mental health services have recently been awarded an uplift in the funding of services for people with psychosis. As part of this we are thrilled to be able to offer a 7-8a preceptorship or senior 8A psychologist position to help support the psychological aspects of care across the rehab pathway for those experiencing Psychosis. This post will work across both our community and inpatient teams to provide psychological assessment, formulation and treatment and to support broader psychosocial approaches to recovery. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting service users on their own individual recovery journey as part of the East Sussex Rehabilitation Pathway. We have established coproduction principles and work closely with our experts by experience to maintain and grow a recovery orientated culture. The applicant can be supported to access further formal training via nationally funded programmes for CBTp and family interventions training. We have well established supervision and special interest groups and we encourage innovative and collaborative practice. You would be joining a strong network of clinicians interested in psychosis across the trust and within East Sussex.

We are looking for a clinician who has an interest in working with clients experiencing psychosis and who can demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to providing evidenced-based, trauma informed, high-quality clinical approaches and interventions. The area covered by this post is East Sussex, working across the locality who are also peripatetic working within their roles. The post will be based across both Amberstone Hospital in Hailsham and our community rehab team in Hastings.
Our trust has an excellent reputation for offering a wide range of CPD, and the post holder will have the opportunity to develop special interests and expertise in line with service objectives. You will receive clinical & professional supervision from an experienced Principal Clinical Psychologist & will have the opportunity to make links with other Practitioner Psychologists and Psychological Practitioners across East Sussex & the wider Trust.
We are seeking an enthusiastic person who has experience of & interest in working with people who have severe and enduring mental health problems within a recovery oriented & trauma informed approach. You would be a key member of the multi-disciplinary team providing assessment, case management and evidence-based interventions for psychosis including CBT for psychosis; Family Intervention & Trauma therapy. You will also support the team with formulation and reflective practice. If you are passionate about finding creative ways to engage people with psychosis and offer evidence-based interventions and work collaboratively with the wider MDT, we would love to hear from you.
