Overview

The North Wales Brain Injury Service (NWBIS) is an inter-disciplinary, community-based brain injury rehabilitation service, based at Colwyn Bay Hospital. The team works across North Wales and accepts referrals for persons who have sustained an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).

Role

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Psychologist (Band 7) to become a core member of our team, providing person-centred and evidence-based neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation to adults with an acquired brain injury. Experience of working with people with acquired brain injury and neurorehabilitation is desirable. However, the team are also able to provide support with development of clinical understanding of brain injury and neurorehabilitation skills.

The ability to speak Welsh for this post is desirable; applicants who have Welsh and English language skills are strongly encouraged to apply for this post.

Welsh language

An awareness and sensitivity to working in a bilingual setting is essential, and those keen to learn or improve Welsh language skills will be actively supported and encouraged.
