Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

Location:

Closeburn House School, Dumfriesshire, DG3 5HP

Hours:

15 hours per week, 08.30am - 4.30pm (2 days a week)

Salary:

up to £60,000 (PRO RATA, DOE)

Contract:

Permanent, 52 weeks

Essential:
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle

We’re looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join Outcomes First Group. This role offers the opportunity to support and develop our clinical service, working closely with the Lead Clinician to promote neurodiversity and intersectionality affirming therapeutic support.

About the role

As part of our expanding clinical service, you will work within the Clinical Wellbeing team, delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils. You will hold a caseload, supported by our experienced Clinical Team, and contribute to staff training, consultation, and reflective practice. The role requires resilience, enthusiasm, a therapeutic approach, decision-making skills, and workload management capabilities.

Our Clinical Team fosters a nurturing environment prioritizing safeguarding, listening to pupils, and respecting their involvement in decisions affecting them. We aim for excellence in supporting vulnerable young people to build positive futures.

Essential Criteria
  • Doctorate level degree in Clinical/Counselling Psychology
  • Registered with the HCPC and own professional body
  • Experience working with children and/or adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, including complex trauma, mental health needs, or behaviors of concern
  • Ability to collaborate with key partners
  • Sensitivity in working with people and conflict resolution skills
  • Continuing professional development relevant to the setting
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
  • Skills in data management, collection, and analysis for service development and projects
