Job summary

Job description

Carry out HSB assessments, formulation and deliver informed and tailored interventions to children, young people, families &/or caregivers. This includes working with the professional network around the child/young person; providing HSB specific consultation, developing shared formulations of complex needs/presentations, contributing to safety plans, providing educational programs and offer direct support to children and young people and their families.

Training in trauma informed approaches and experience in supporting others in trauma informed care (or enthusiasm to develop this knowledge/skills) is desirable. This work can be pressured and emotionally challenging at times, but can also be very rewarding.

Job Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic senior social worker or Practitioner Psychologist to join our Healthy Safe Behaviours Team (HSB). This newly configured service supports children and young people (7 to 17 years), open to Birmingham Children's Trust, who present with harmful sexual behaviour.
