A local children's services organization in Birmingham is looking for a Senior Social Worker or Practitioner Psychologist to join their Healthy Safe Behaviours Team. The role involves delivering supportive interventions to children and families facing challenges related to harmful sexual behaviour. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in trauma-informed care and collaborative work within a multidisciplinary team. Carry out HSB assessments, formulation and deliver informed and tailored interventions to children, young people, families &/or caregivers. This includes working with the professional network around the child/young person; providing HSB specific consultation, developing shared formulations of complex needs/presentations, contributing to safety plans, providing educational programs and offer direct support to children and young people and their families.
Training in trauma informed approaches and experience in supporting others in trauma informed care (or enthusiasm to develop this knowledge/skills) is desirable. This work can be pressured and emotionally challenging at times, but can also be very rewarding.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic senior social worker or Practitioner Psychologist to join our Healthy Safe Behaviours Team (HSB). This newly configured service supports children and young people (7 to 17 years), open to Birmingham Children's Trust, who present with harmful sexual behaviour.
We will provide you with access to training, regular professional supervision, and on-going support.
