King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust seeks a newly qualified Clinical Physiologist to join a specialized team. This role includes performing diagnostic examinations such as EEG and NCS, with training available for specialized techniques. Candidates should possess relevant qualifications and excellent communication skills. An opportunity has become available to recruit a newly qualified Clinical Physiologist graduate, eager to develop skills and gain experience in a busy department undertaking all modalities of testing, including EEG, Nerve Conduction studies, and Evoked Potentials.
The Clinical Neurophysiology Department provides responsive neurophysiological testing services for both adults and children, including outpatient and inpatient referrals from various units such as adult, liver, paediatrics, neonatal, trauma, and Neuro-intensive care.
In-house training is available to develop skills in specialized diagnostic examinations, including ERG, AFT, NCS, Paediatrics, neonate EEGs, ITU EEG, and SSEP.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills, with fluency in English. Overseas applicants must possess IELTS at level 7 or equivalent.
Applicants must hold an HNC/NVQ in Physiological Measurement, BSc in Clinical Physiology, or a relevant degree including Neurophysiology diagnostics. Computer literacy is advantageous.
The post involves working as part of a highly specialized team to record, measure, and monitor neurophysiological functions in patients of all ages, aiming to identify nervous system diseases. Responsibilities include conducting diagnostic investigations independently in EEG, EPS, NCS.
