Thornford Park Hospital, part of Elysium Healthcare, seeks an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support medication management within a multi-disciplinary team. You will work with GP services, nursing teams and external pharmacy providers to ensure timely ordering, dispensing and receipt of medications on site.

Key requirements include GPhC registration, Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Technicians or equivalent, and at least two years of supervised pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• GPhC registration is required.
• Level 3 Diploma or equivalent qualification in Pharmacy Technicians or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Two years of supervised, practical experience in a pharmacy setting.

Responsabilités

• Work with GP service, MDT and pharmacy provider to ensure medications are ordered, dispensed and received on site.
• Act on safety alerts to prioritise service user safety.
• Ensure safe storage of medications in collaboration with nursing teams.
• Attend monthly multidisciplinary meetings and participate as appropriate.
• Contribute to clinical governance and update practice or local policy through the governance forum.
• Maintain professional registration with the GPhC.
• Escalate quality concerns as per policy.
• Provide Pharmacy Technician support across departments throughout the week.
• Liaise with pharmacy provider and nursing staff to support service development.
• Participate in audits to drive improvement and service development.

Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians (or BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences)
