Summary

Join our team at NHS Jobs as a Clinical Pharmacist, where you will play a crucial role in supervising a team of clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support workers. Your responsibilities include ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient clinical pharmacy and medicines management services to a designated group of patients and service users.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deputise for the Pharmacist Advanced, supervising a team for optimal performance.
  2. Provide medicines management, optimisation, and reconciliation services on designated wards.
  3. Develop and implement local policies and guidelines on good prescribing practice.
  4. Influence local practices to ensure safe medication use and adherence to good prescribing practices.
  5. Act as a point of contact for nursing and clinical staff on medicine management issues.
  6. Provide medicines information to healthcare professionals and conduct new drug reviews.
  7. Engage in activities related to clinical effectiveness, including drug use review and clinical audit.
  8. Support planning and implementation of service changes and new treatments.
  9. Act as a professional checker in the dispensary and/or chemotherapy service.
