Main duties of the job

This is a dynamic, patient-facing Clinical Pharmacist role, focused on delivering evidence-based pharmaceutical care in Primary Care. You will use your expert knowledge of medicines to support patients with specific disease areas and long-term conditions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Clinically assessing, diagnosing, and prescribing (where qualified)

Qualifications
Essential
  • Masters degree in pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent recognised pharmacy qualification.
  • Registered as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), with no restrictions on practice.
  • Independent Prescriber qualification (essential)
  • Completion of Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway (PCPEP) qualification (essential)
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to clinical pharmacy practice.
Desirable
  • Postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualification (e.g. Clinical Diploma or equivalent).
  • Membership or Fellowship of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS).
