Qualifications

Job description

We are recruiting a Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber) to join our London team. This is a hybrid role, you will work 2-3 days (including Saturday) in our London office located in Kings Cross and the remaining days remotely. You will play a key part in prescribing and reviewing cannabis based medicines for patients with complex conditions. As a Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber) you will split your time between three days on site and two days working remotely. You will provide safe, effective and personalised treatment, supporting patients with a wide range of needs.

Responsibilities
  • Clinically check and review CBPM prescriptions for safety and accuracy.
  • Prescribe medicines as an Independent Prescriber, tailoring treatments to individual patient needs.
  • Provide expert guidance to prescribers and patients on treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in line with GPhC standards.
  • Support the dispensary team by handling complex clinical queries.
  • Deliver education and training on CBPM to patients, clinicians, and staff.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to streamline processes and improve outcomes.
Qualifications
  • GPhC registered pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification.
  • At least 2 years prescribing experience.
  • Experience working in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of CBPM is desired, not essential, or willingness to undergo specialised training.
  • Clear and confident communicator across clinical and non-clinical settings.
  • Highly effective at managing time and prioritising competing demands.
  • Proactive and resourceful when identifying and resolving problems.
  • Well‑organised, detail‑oriented, and able to manage complex workflows.
