This post is for a part-time Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to lead the clinical element of a new MH Day service for residents living with mental illness in Camden.
The service provides seamless care, supporting users while unwell with clinical interventions, and through reablement programs to enhance self-management and community presence in Camden.
The MH Day Service offers day provision for adults with complex mental health difficulties, emphasizing group work, hospital admission prevention, and early discharge support.
The post holder will work within the MH Day Service, leading psychological provision, conducting high-quality assessments and treatments, including group work, autonomously within professional guidelines and service policies.
Responsibilities include offering consultation for formulation, diagnosis, care planning, managing challenging behaviors, and providing psychological perspectives on group processes. The post involves developing group programs, supervising trainee and qualified psychologists, and utilizing research skills for audit and service development.
