Overview

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to support us in taking forward the redevelopment of Lynfield Mount Hospital.

This is a rare opportunity to lead transformational change in mental health care, delivering modern, safe, and therapeutic environments for our service users and staff.

As Clinical & Operational Lead, you will provide strategic leadership across the clinical and operational workstreams within the redevelopment programme, ensuring alignment with Trust-wide objectives and national policy. You will be responsible for shaping and delivering new clinical service models, overseeing the safe transition of services into newly built and refurbished facilities, and ensuring workforce readiness and engagement throughout the programme. This role will require close collaboration with Estates and Facilities, clinical teams, service users, and external partners to ensure the redevelopment meets both clinical and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of new clinical service models and operational strategies.
  • Oversee workforce preparation, training, and familiarisation for staff and service users.
  • Ensure robust governance, patient safety, and quality improvement throughout the programme.
  • Manage budgets, performance, and strategic risks associated with the redevelopment.
  • Champion innovation, inclusion, and partnership working across the Trust and wider system.
What we are looking for
  • Is a registered professional (e.g., NMC, HCPC) with a master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Has extensive senior management and clinical leadership experience within the NHS or similar setting.
  • Demonstrates a strong track record in service transformation, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Has expert knowledge of mental health services, clinical governance, and NHS policy.
  • Is a strategic thinker with excellent communication, project management, and influencing skills.
  • Is resilient, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality care and outcomes.
