Job description

Our client has an exciting newly created role for a Clinical Trainer to join their growing award-winning team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, face-to-face and online clinical training to care staff across Devon and Cornwall. You will also support induction programmes, assess clinical competencies, and promote best practice through hands-on mentoring and coaching.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver clinical training, including medication management, PEG and enteral feeding, suction and airway care, catheter, bowel, and stoma care, epilepsy and diabetes awareness, moving and handling, infection control, end-of-life care, and clinical record-keeping and condition-specific topics.
  • Support staff inductions and competency assessments
  • Update training content based on current guidance (CQC, NICE, Skills for Care)
  • Provide refresher training and reassess staff as needed
  • Ensure all training meets CQC Regulations 12 and 18
  • Maintain accurate records and compliance dashboards
  • Identify training needs via audits, incidents, and feedback
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) or qualified clinical care professional
  • At least 2 years' experience in a clinical training or supervisory role
  • Confident delivering adult learning in both group and 1:1 settings
  • Practical knowledge of community-based clinical procedures
  • Education or training qualification (e.g., PTLLS, Level 3 Award)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Passionate about learning and development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, organised, and confident in clinical assessment
  • Committed to dignity, respect, and person-centred values
  • Ideally Safeguarding Adults Level 3
  • Experience preferred within domiciliary care, supported living, or complex needs setting
