A renowned cancer care institution in Greater London is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join their Symptom Control and Palliative Care team. The role involves providing clinical leadership, managing a patient caseload, and engaging in teaching opportunities. Candidates should have a relevant post-registration qualification and a minimum of three years experience in oncology or palliative care. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Symptom Control and Palliative Care team at the Royal Marsden Hospital as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. The successful applicant will be expected to work as part of a multi-professional team in assessing and advising patients with palliative care needs, their families/carers and other healthcare professionals. Evaluating interventions and adjusting them accordingly will be part of the role on a day-to-day basis. He/she will also be involved in informal teaching and supporting junior nurses and doctors as well as taking part in formal teaching at the School of Nursing and on the wards. Audit and research will be undertaken jointly with other members of the palliative care team.
He/she should have a post-registration qualification relevant to the specialty and a minimum of three years oncology or palliative care experience.
