A healthcare provider in Coventry seeks a specialist nurse to join their haemophilia service. This role involves providing expert nursing care for patients with haemophilia and inherited bleeding disorders, collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless support throughout the patient's journey. The ideal candidate will have experience in this area and strong clinical decision-making skills.
An exciting opporunity has arisen to join our established haemophilia service, working jointly with the adult and child services for our patients with haemophilia and inherited bleeding disorders, providing expert nursing care across their lifespan - from pre-birth to end of life care, this includes adults with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). The Paediatric nurse works in partnership with the adult haemophilia nurses to ensure a seamless haemophilia service which offers advice and guidance to patients, carers and other health care professionals for both children and adults.
The post holder will deliver a comprehensive, highly specialist service to patients and families affected by bleeding disorders, offering clinical expertise, emotional support, and practical guidance throughout their healthcare journey. This includes antenatal counselling, paediatric management, transition planning, and ongoing adult care, ensuring a seamless and coordinated service across all stages of life.
Autonomous in practice and confident in making high-level clinical decisions, the post holder will assess, plan, and implement specialist care tailored to individual needs. They will act as a key worker, liaising with haematology consultants, community teams, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic, patient-centred care.
