Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a nurse to participate in an exciting cancer nursing rotation program, encompassing clinical placements in Head and Neck, Upper GI, Breast, and Colorectal specialties.
This is a fixed-term/secondment vacancy until 30/09/2026 due to funding. If you are an existing Hywel Dda University Health Board employee applying as a secondment, prior approval from your current manager is required.
The program offers training aligned with the core cancer capabilities framework of the ACCEND program, supporting career development as a cancer clinical nurse specialist. Opportunities include outpatient, inpatient, and community settings, with external collaborations, including Swansea Bay Health Board and various charities, to gain comprehensive experience in cancer care roles.
The base location is Glangwili, with expected travel to other hospital sites for training and service delivery. The role includes protected learning time, clinical supervision, and Level 7 education with online portfolio completion. You will provide high-quality care for patients with suspected or diagnosed lung cancer, working within a multidisciplinary team throughout the patient’s cancer journey, from pre-diagnosis to follow-up.
Proficiency in Welsh is desirable; applications from English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome. Interviews are scheduled for 01/07/25.
