Job Summary
About the role We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lung Cancer Clinical Specialist Nurse Specialist to join our supportive team on the Isle of Man. In this specialist role, as the patients key worker you will manage your own caseload, providing highly specialist nursing input and continuity of care to patients at each stage of the pathway (diagnosis treatment, surveillance a longer term follow up). Ensuring that effective communication is maintained through liaison and referrals to other services. You will have strong communication skills with the ability to impart complex information to patients, relatives and carers.
Main duties of the job
You will have the opportunity to improve patient care and help develop the service to help us meet the needs of the increasing number of patients living with and beyond their cancer diagnosis and receiving more complex treatments along more lengthy pathways. You will be encouraged to develop your practice and need to have a desire to undertake an ANP programme for future service development.
